Summer Classes ‘26
Whether you’re just starting out or ready to build on what you know, Tuxedo Cat Swing has classes for every level!
We regularly offer classes on Tuesday evenings focused on Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Blues, and Solo Jazz!
No partner needed, we will pair up and rotate in class.
Our class series are progressive, because of this, we allow drop-ins in the first two weeks.
We highly encourage you to retake class series to strengthen and refine your dance skills. It can be beneficial to retake classes with different instructors as they all teach a different set of moves and can explain concepts differently. Not only that, but It also is a great opportunity to learn the opposite dance role. We offer 50% off to anyone retaking a previously offered class series, just email us for the discount code if you are interested in this!
Summer Break!
We will be taking a break from running our regular lessons over the summer. We may have. a few one-off classes or mini-workshops, so keep an eye out for that!
Our practice sessions will continue to run on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, you can find more information here!
There are lots of opportunities to keep learning and dancing in the city so keep an eye out for other chances to dance. You can find event schedules here or here!
Join us for our Swing Practice Sessions
Cost: Sliding scale, $5 suggested
Upcoming Dates: June 13 & 27
Join us on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 5-7PM for an open swing practice.
This is an open space for dancers to come with ideas to play around with, or go with the flow and experiment and practice. We will have music playing suitable for swing styles like Lindy Hop & Charleston, so come share, dance, and collaborate with thers.
Keep in mind that this is not a class, so do not expect anyone to guide or instruct you. There will some more experienced dancers around, and you are welcome to ask them for feedback and tips if they are open to it.
No need to come with a partner, it is open to swing dancers of all levels, whether you take classes with us or not!
These practices have a pay-what-you-can model, with a suggested donation of $5. Those who are able are welcome to give a little extra to support the space and community, but please don’t let it stop you from coming!
