SWING & JAZZ a new kind of Friday night at GULBAR

We're trying something new.

Inspired by the late-night jazz nights that have become so popular across Europe, we're bringing a more upbeat, dance-friendly jazz format to Calgary - somewhere between a classic live jazz show and a Friday night out.

On Friday, October 23, Alltimate Music Quartet takes the stage with a set built around timeless swing and jazz standards, with touches of Latin and blues.

Expect classics like Take the A Train, L-O-V-E, Route 66, Sway, Blue Moon, All of Me and more - performed live with sax & vocals, keys, bass and drums.

And no, you don't need to know how to swing dance.

Grab a table, order a cocktail and enjoy the music — or get up and dance when you feel like it. The idea is simply to make jazz a little later, a little livelier, and a little harder to sit still through.
